Rustic Ridge has a PAVED road and gated access and many large and very private parcels!
Close to a number of
Washington's most beautiful State Parks, like Dosewallips State Park (15
minutes), Triton Cove State Park (3 minutes), Lake Cushman (20 minutes) and
Potlatch State Park (20 minutes). Then, of course, there is the Olympic
National park: “Olympic National Park is one of the wildest places left in the
contiguous United States. In 1988, Congress designated 95% of Olympic
National Park as wilderness to further protect the wild areas of the park from
development. Congress defines Wilderness as ‘…an area where the earth
and its community of life are untrammeled by man...".
Rustic Ridge is a gated community located about halfway between Brinnon (10 minutes) and Lilliwaup (10 minutes) at the Hood Canal on the Olympic Peninsula. Towards the south (via Highway 101) Hoodsport is about 30 minutes away, Shelton 45 minutes and Olympia about one and hour and 15 minutes. To the north Quilcene is about 30 minutes, Port Townsend or Sequim are approximately one hour and 15 minutes away. The Hood Canal bridge is within an hour.
Do you need a Marina? - Pleasant Harbor Marina (Brinnon) is about 10 minutes away offering all amenities including 285 moorage slips, pool, gas and diesel docks, groceries, laundry etc etc.
|Access to Rustic Ridge is via Highway 101
and over (paved Seagull Way). Arched and gated Rustic Ridge Drive (also
mostly PAVED road) gives
secure access to all parcels (usually via private driveways).
All parcels have Power and Phone connections within 250' or less from the likely building site (so no expensive electrical primary extensions will be required for building). Water is provided via a community water system. Some parcels already have a designed conventional (gravity or pressurized) septic system.

Rustic Ridge itself is not on the shore of the Hood Canal (it is located at about 400' above) but all parcel owners have deeded access to the Hood Canal. There is a public boat launch in Triton Cove State Park (about 1 mile to the north).
Rustic Ridge slopes down from the west to the east. It was logged in the 1980ies and has since regrown with a mixture of Cedar, Hemlock, Fir, Alder and Madrona.
